Man pronounced dead at scene of early-morning shooting in Chandler

A man was pronounced dead at the scene of a shooting in Chandler on Friday morning, authorities said.
A suspect whose name was not released was arrested near where the shooting occurred, according to the Chandler Police Department.
Officers responded to a shooting call near McQueen and Germann roads about 4:30 a.m., police said.
They found a man who had been shot. Emergency responders performed lifesaving measures, but he did not survive his injuries.
Police said there is no active threat to the public.
The investigation is ongoing.
