Glendale Fire Department rescues pup stuck in a hole

PHOENIX — A puppy spent his Sunday getting into a whole lot of trouble in Glendale.

Firefighters from the Glendale Fire Department had to rescue the black pup after he got stuck in a hole for several hours.

Maricopa County Animal Care and Control spent three hours trying to remove the pup from the hole to no avail.

Thankfully, Glendale firefighters were able to dig out the little guy after another 2-hour rescue operation.

Somehow this little pup wiggled his way into a hole and couldn’t get out. Animal control spent 3 hours trying to get him out before calling us. E154, E157 and L157 then spent 2 more hours digging him out. Thankfully he was rescued and is uninjured. Stay safe. Stay safe. pic.twitter.com/kLqlEFMubN

How the pup found his way into the hole is a mystery, but there is some good news.

The pup didn’t suffer any injuries from the ordeal and is expected to go back to living his normal, happy lifestyle.

Let’s just hope the little guy doesn’t wander into any more holes any time soon.
