SAFE Alert issued for missing 69-year-old man last seen in Phoenix

Authorities issued a SAFE Alert on Thursday for a missing man who was last seen in Phoenix.

Robert Vaughn was last seen in the area of 21st and Orangewood avenues, south of Northern Avenue, on Tuesday, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

He is 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds and has gray hair and hazel eyes.

Police said he was believed to be wearing an Arizona Diamondbacks baseball cap, red T-shirt and khaki shorts when he went missing.

He has a medical condition that can make him become lost and confused easily.

Anyone with information that can help police find him is urged to contact the Phoenix Police Department Missing Persons Unit at 602-534-2121.

SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts in Arizona as a way to spread the word about missing persons who are 65 and older and missing persons who have dementia or developmental/cognitive disabilities.
