Firefighter hospitalized with minor injuries following double mobile home fire in Phoenix

A firefighter was taken to the hospital with minor injuries Sunday following a double mobile home fire in north Phoenix, authorities said.

PHOENIX — A firefighter was taken to the hospital with minor injuries Sunday following a double mobile home fire in north Phoenix, authorities said.

The fire started just after 1 p.m. near Cave Creek and Pinnacle roads, the Phoenix Fire Department said in a press release.

Crews arrived and found one residence on fire with flames spreading to an adjacent mobile home to the north, authorities said.

The fire was quickly extinguished.

The cause of the fire is unknown but authorities said initial reports indicate there were workers performing maintenance on one of the mobile homes.

No civilians were injured from the fire but two elderly residents were displaced, authorities said.
