Evacuations temporarily ordered in Yarnell area due to Crest Way Fire

PHOENIX — Evacuation orders were temporarily put in place in the Yarnell area on Monday afternoon due to the Crest Way Fire, authorities said.

Residents in YCU-2414, on South Looka Way and South Crest Way, were placed in “GO” status around 2:30 p.m., according to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office. Evacuation orders were lifted around 5 p.m.

Yarnell is about 90 miles north of downtown Phoenix.
