3 teens charged with murder in 2025 deadly armed robbery in north Phoenix

Three men have been charged with murder in connection to a deadly armed robbery in Phoenix last year, authorities said.

PHOENIX — Three men have been charged with murder in connection to a deadly armed robbery in Phoenix last year, authorities said.

The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office identified the three men as 18-year-old Demarius Shaw, 19-year-old Raul Clavel and 18-year-old David Brunt.

The trio of suspects are facing the same charges:

  • One count of first-degree murder.
  • One count of armed robbery.
  • One count of conspiring to commit armed robbery.

Prosecutors said a trial is scheduled to begin in October.

More details about 2025 deadly armed robbery in north Phoenix

On Oct. 14, officers responded to the area of 12th Street and Bell Road for reports of shots fired around 9:20 p.m.

When police arrived at the scene, they found Marki Terril Anthony suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

Prosecutors said Shaw, Clavel, Brunt and Anthony, the victim, allegedly planned to rob someone during a gun sale. However, during the robbery, gunfire was exchanged, which left Anthony dead.
