3 teens arrested in connection with 2025 homicide in north Phoenix

Three teens were arrested on Friday in connection with a 2025 homicide in north Phoenix, authorities announced.

PHOENIX — Three teens were arrested on Friday in connection with a 2025 homicide in north Phoenix, authorities announced.

The three men — 18-year-old Demarius Shaw, 19-year-old Raul Clavel and 18-year-old David Brunt — were booked into Maricopa County jail on one count each of first-degree murder.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, the men are suspected of killing 17-year-old Marki Terril Anthony in October 2025.

Police said detectives determined that Anthony was killed in an exchange of gunfire that was the result of an attempted robbery.

On Oct. 14, officers responded to the area of 12th Street and Bell Road for reports of shots fired around 9:20 p.m.

When police arrived at the scene, they found Anthony suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

Despite the three teens being arrested, detectives are still looking to speak with anyone with information regarding the fatal shooting.
