PHOENIX — A gunshot victim was found dead in a hotel room in Phoenix on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

Officers with the Phoenix Police Department responded to reports of an injured person in the area of Van Buren and 24th streets around 2:45 p.m.

Police found 44-year-old Anthony Garrison with at least one gunshot wound.

Medical personnel arrived to the scene and pronounced Garrison dead.

Homicide investigators have taken over the case.

Now, the Phoenix PD is asking the public to help them find the culprit.

Anyone who has information that can help police find the person who shot Garrison is urged to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (948-6377) or 480-TESTIGO (837-8446) for Spanish.

Reports can be made anonymously.

No further details were released.
