PHOENIX — The famed Chicago-style pizza parlor Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria has officially opened its second location in Arizona, the restaurant announced on Tuesday.
Lou Malnati’s opened its second location at 56th Street and Indian School Road in Phoenix on Tuesday. The restaurant will be open from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday.
But unlike its original Arizona location, which is located at Central Avenue and Camelback Road, this one is not a sit-down restaurant and only offers carryout, delivery and catering.
The company plans to hire more than 45 employees at this location and announced it will open as many as eight additional locations throughout the Valley. Scottsdale will welcome the next full-service Lou Malnati’s in 2018.
Marc Malnati, the owner of Lou Malnati’s, said in a press release that the restaurant becomes “engrained in the communities we serve.
“We are honored to have the opportunity to create new friends within the Arcadia community and look forward to providing them our famous Chicago-style deep dish pizza for years to come.”
Chicago-style pizza has slowly but slowly but surely infiltrated the Valley, with the openings of Chicago-based pizzerias Gino’s East and Giordano’s. The rise of Phoenix’s pizza culture has ranked it as America’s favorite city for pizza — even above Chicago.

For once,.. I will say "thank you" to the Mexican border patrol,... If he is in fact guilty,.. throw the book at him.
Though I do wonder why that 13 yr old didn't age those 3 years,... (in other words it was poor writing by the author who should have stated: the victim was 13 when the sexual acts occurred starting in 2008 and continuing through 2010.)
