1-year-old boy in critical condition after near-drowning in Phoenix

PHOENIX — A 1-year-old boy is in “extremely critical condition” after being pulled from a hot tub in Phoenix on Sunday, authorities said.

On Sunday morning, Phoenix Fire Department responded to a home near Greenway Parkway and Beck Lane where they found a boy unconscious in a hot tub. It’s unclear how long the boy was underwater.

The boy was then transported to a hospital in “extremely critical condition.”

The incident is being investigated by the Phoenix Police Department. No other information was available.
