Bodies of 2 men who apparently drowned pulled from Arizona lakes

PHOENIX — The bodies of two men who apparently drowned in Arizona lakes in separate incidents were recovered Tuesday.

Authorities said the body of 30-year-old Tucson resident Joshua Rosen, who had gone diving in Lake Pleasant with friends on Saturday, was recovered in water that was 200 feet deep.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said it is investigating the death and does not suspect foul play.

Rosen’s body was taken to the Maricopa County Medical Examiner to determine a cause of death.

In eastern Arizona, a Gila County dive team recovered the body of 68-year-old Dan Boyd of Pine from the Willow Springs Lake.

His body was taken to the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

Authorities said Boyd was at the lake fishing with family members Monday evening. The family was preparing to leave when Boyd wanted to make another trip out on the lake in a small fishing boat.

It’s unclear how he ended up in the water. Someone tried to rescue Boyd but wasn’t able to pull his limp body to shore.
