Suspect arrested after allegedly being linked to multiple deadly shootings in Phoenix

PHOENIX — A man has been arrested after allegedly being linked to multiple late November homicides in Phoenix, authorities announced Friday.

Adalberto Cordova Torres, 21, was arrested Thursday and booked into jail on two counts of first-degree murder and one count of discharging a firearm at a residence, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

He is being held on a $3 million bond.

How was suspect linked to multiple deadly Phoenix shootings?

Phoenix police opened an investigation after a shooting on Nov. 11 near Seventh Avenue and Greenway Parkway, where a homeowner woke up and found that someone had shot into their home several times.

Nearly two weeks later, on Nov. 24, officers responded to another shooting near 19th Avenue and Greenway Road, where 45-year-old Marcus Adams was killed.

Just five days after that, on Nov. 29, police began investigating a third shooting, which happened near 19th Avenue and Thunderbird Road. Andreas Samual Olguin, 29, died at the scene.

Ballistic evidence collected at all three scenes was submitted to the National Integrated Ballistic Information Network, which later confirmed that all of the shootings were connected.

Detectives then identified Cordova Torres as a suspect, served a search warrant at his home and found additional evidence linking him to the crimes, police said.
