Police identify man killed in shooting in north Phoenix

The Phoenix Police Department is investigating a north Phoenix shooting that left one man dead early on Saturday morning.

PHOENIX — The Phoenix Police Department is investigating a north Phoenix shooting that left one man dead early on Saturday morning.

Police responded to the area of 19th Avenue and Thunderbird Road to conduct a welfare check just before 2 a.m.

Upon arrival, authorities discovered 29-year-old Andreas Samual Olguin suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The Phoenix Fire Department pronounced Olguin dead on the scene from his injuries.

Homicide detectives have taken over the ongoing investigation.

Those who possess any information regarding the case are asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (948-6377) or 480-TESTIGO (837-8446) for Spanish speakers.

Callers may remain anonymous and information that leads to an arrest will be eligible for a reward.
