PHOENIX — Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with a burglary earlier this month, according to the Tempe Police Department.
One was a 16-year-old accused of ramming a stolen red Kia into the entrance of Up in Smoke, a Tempe smoke shop near Central Avenue and Baseline Road on Nov. 2, police said.
Surveillance footage showed the suspect getting out of the car and loading it with stolen vape products. The 16-year-old then jumped into a second stolen car, a black Kia parked in the shop’s lot and driven by one of two other alleged co-conspirators, police said.
The burglary, which took place around 3 a.m., caused around $30,000 in losses, including stolen merchandise as well as extensive damage from the crash.

When were three teens arrested in connection to Tempe smoke shop burglary?
The 16-year-old was arrested on Wednesday for third-degree burglary and theft of means of transportation, police said.
The other two suspects are a 14-year-old who was arrested on Nov. 14 for two counts of theft of means of transportation, and a 15-year-old arrested two days after the burglary for unlawful use of means of transportation, police said.
Each suspect’s charges will be forwarded to the juvenile court for review.
