Police arrest murder suspect 2 years after fatal shooting in Phoenix

PHOENIX — Authorities announced a breakthrough Thursday in the lengthy investigation of a 2022 Phoenix murder.
Collecting evidence over the course of two years helped detectives identify 31-year-old Steven Rashaad Deloach as their suspect, the Phoenix Police Department said.
Deloach is accused of fatally shooting 39-year-old Dominic Daughtrey of Gilbert on June 3, 2022. police said.
He was arrested and booked into jail on Wednesday for first-degree murder.
His bond was set at $750,000.

Daughtrey was killed around 10:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Alta Vista Village apartments near 39th and Grand avenues.
He was sitting in his parked vehicle — a white, 2017 Ford F-150 truck — when the shooting took place.
Deloach allegedly shot Daughtrey multiple times.
Police released images of a man now believed to be Deloach in March 2023, which showed him walking out of an apartment in the complex at approximately 10:35 p.m.
No further details about the 2022 Phoenix murder case were released.
