18-year-old dead after allegedly being shot by brother in Phoenix

Police are investigating the death of an 18-year-old man after allegedly being shot by his brother in Phoenix, authorities said.

PHOENIX — Police are investigating the death of an 18-year-old man after he was shot in Phoenix, authorities said.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting around 3:45 p.m. Saturday near 44th Street and McDowell Road, the Phoenix Police Department said in a press release.

When they arrived, a man in the parking lot told them he shot his brother, who police have identified as Dameon Glover.

Witnesses reported the two were in an argument, which escalated to the both of them producing firearms, police said.

Glover died on scene from his injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing.
