1 man dead in single-vehicle collision in southwest Phoenix

A single-vehicle collision in southwest Phoenix left a man dead early Saturday morning.

PHOENIX — A single-vehicle collision in southwest Phoenix left a man dead early Saturday morning, the Phoenix Police Department announced.

Firefighters responded to the crash near 51st Avenue and Broadway Road around 3:45 a.m. and found 21-year-old Jesus Soto Haro dead at the scene.

The Phoenix Police Department said that the crash took place after Soto Haro lost control of his vehicle. The 21-year-old was traveling westbound on Broadway Road and attempting to make a left-hand turn at the “T” intersection at 51st Avenue before the vehicle left the roadway and went into an industrial area, authorities said.
