1 person dead following 4 vehicle crash in Tempe, intersection closed
One person was pronounced dead after a four-vehicle crash in Tempe on Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

PHOENIX — One person was pronounced dead after a four-vehicle crash in Tempe on Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
Officers responded to the area of Guadalupe and Rural roads regarding reports of a collision involving four cars, according to the Tempe Police Department.
An occupant of one of the cars was taken to a hospital in critical condition and later died. The deceased was identified later as 65-year-old Daniel Martin.
Police said that there is a hard closure from westbound Guadalupe at Terrace Road.
In addition, northbound traffic at Rural Road is being diverted to westbound Guadalupe.
Police advised that the intersection is expected to be closed for several hours.
