Arizona’s 2026 midterm election season is heating up, as campaign signs have sprung up along roadways across the state.

Here’s a look at the key dates and deadlines for when you have to vote in this year’s primary and general elections.

Key dates for 2026 Arizona primary election

• June 6: Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) deadline
• June 22: Last day to register
• June 24: Mail ballots sent out and early voting begins
• July 10: Last day to request a replacement ballot by mail
• July 14: Last day to mail back completed early ballots
• July 21: Election Day, polls close at 7 p.m.
• July 27: First day to canvass returns
• Aug. 3: Canvass deadline for counties
• Aug. 6: Official statewide canvass

• Oct. 5: Last day to register
• Oct. 7: Mail ballots sent out and early voting begins

Arizona recognizes these five parties:

• Democratic Party
• Republican Party
• Libertarian Party
• Arizona Green Party
• No Labels Party, also known as Arizona Independent Party

Voters who are registered without party affiliation must request a ballot for one of the parties if they want to participate in the primaries.
