PHOENIX — When it comes to Arizona’s biggest elections of 2026, President Donald Trump prefers to hedge his bets. On Tuesday, he issued another dual endorsement, backing two Republicans who are competing in the primary for Arizona’s wealthiest congressional district.

“Two highly respected America-first patriots, Jay Feely and Gina Swoboda, are running for Congress in the great state of Arizona,” Trump wrote in a social media post.

Both Republicans are hoping to win the Republican primary for Arizona’s 1st Congressional District, a seat that became up for grabs after incumbent U.S Rep. David Schweikert announced he was running for governor.

He said both Feely, a former Arizona Cardinals kicker, and Swoboda, who touted her Trump endorsement back in October, are fierce MAGA advocates.

“I am honored to give both Jay Feely and Gina Swoboda my complete and total endorsement to be the next representative of Arizona’s 1st Congressional District,” Trump added.

Dual endorsement for Jay Feely, Gina Swoboda in CD-1 Republican primary

This is the first time Trump is endorsing Feely in an Arizona race — and he only doled out the honor after Feely switched districts.

In April of last year, Feely launched his first political campaign with the aim of succeeding U.S. Rep. Andy Biggs in Arizona’s 5th Congressional District. However, Trump endorsed former Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb in that GOP primary.

At the time, Trump said he liked Feely and would consider endorsing him if he ran in “a different seat, or for a different office.”

Feely took heed, announcing his candidacy in the CD-1 GOP primary in December.

“President Trump endorsed my campaign for Congress because he knows I will fight tirelessly in DC to put America First,” Feely wrote on social media shortly after Trump announced the dual endorsement for the CD-1 Republican primary.

“I am committed to defending the American Dream and preserving the Republican majority by winning this crucial seat,” Feely added.

This marks the second high‑profile 2026 Arizona race in which Trump has endorsed two Republicans competing against each other.

In April 2025, Trump announced he is endorsing U.S. Rep. Andy Biggs as well as businesswoman Karrin Taylor-Robson, both of whom are running for governor in the Republican primary this year.

Don’t let trump fool you , he doesn’t care about fighting crime it’s about control and power… and protecting abusers like himself.
I won’t be supporting anyone who’s endorsed by someone who pardons child mole$ters and $exual abusers…

When The Idiot endorses two opponents, he isn’t really endorsing anyone. He just doesn’t want to look like a loser. But he does.
