Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez announce visit to Arizona State University
Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will visit Arizona State University next week for a rally.

PHOENIX — Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt. and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., will visit Arizona State University next week for a rally.
The event titled “Fighting Oligarchy: Where We Go From Here” will take place Thursday at Mullett Arena on the school’s Tempe campus.
Doors will open at 5 p.m. MST, and the speaking program starts at 6 p.m. MST.
The event is free and open to the public. Individuals interested in attending can RSVP online.
No bags, signs or firearms will be allowed at the event.
Why is Bernie Sanders going on a tour?
The Arizona stop is part of Sanders’ nationwide tour. The 83-year-old said he is not running for president again, but has been holding rallies in a number of swing states as he seeks to push back against President Donald Trump’s policies.
“This is like presidential campaign rallies, isn’t it? But I’m not running for president, and this is not a campaign,” Sanders told The Associated Press. “You gotta do what you gotta do. The country’s in trouble and I want to play my role.”
Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez will later visit Catalina High School in Tucson on Saturday. Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. and speaking will start at 11:30 a.m.
The Vermont senator has made a number of visits to Arizona, including in 2020, 2018 and 2016.

I don't like Trump (nor do I like Harris) and don't understand the infatuation either, but I think I can understand why many voted for him. Regardless of the issue (education, DEI, LGBTQ..., global warming, woke ideology, etc.) I believe too many people finally felt backed into a corner, tired of government not listening, and tired of what they felt was a complete dump, over many years, on things that were once sacred.
While there are certainly many that appear to worship Trump (a person more unworthy of worship I'm hard to name), my take is that many didn't vote so much for him as they voted against the trajectory we've been on. They just couldn't take it anymore.

Good post. Makes a lot of sense to me. For what it's worth, this democrat is tired of our leaders. Schumer needs to go. Pelosi needs to hand it over to someone younger. It's time for new ideas.
