Another dual endorsement: Donald Trump says Andy Biggs has his support in gubernatorial run

PHOENIX — President Donald Trump has once again given a dual endorsement ahead of a high-stakes Republican primary in Arizona.

In addition to pledging his support to Karrin Taylor Robson in December 2024, Trump gave an endorsement to U.S. Rep. Andy Biggs in the 2026 Arizona gubernatorial election on Monday.

“I like Karrin Taylor Robson of Arizona a lot, and when she asked me to endorse her, with nobody else running, I endorsed her, and was happy to do so,” Trump said in a Truth Social post.

Then Biggs threw his hat into the gubernatorial ring by filing a statement of interest in January.

“When Andy Biggs decided to run for governor, quite unexpectedly, I had a problem — two fantastic candidates, two terrific people, two wonderful champions,” Trump said.

Last year, he was in a similar predicament. He also took the same solution: backing two horses in the same race by endorsing both Blake Masters and Abe Hamadeh in their Arizona Republican congressional primary contest.

This year, he’s trying the winning strategy again.

“It is therefore my great honor to give my complete and total endorsement to both,” Trump said. “Either one will never let you down. Make America great again!”

Shortly after the announcement, Biggs thanked Trump for supporting his bid for Arizona governor.

Karrin Taylor Robson responds to Trump endorsing Andy Biggs for governor

Although Taylor Robson is now sharing the coveted Trump endorsement with her competitor, she expressed confidence in her gubernatorial chances due to Trump’s words of praise.

“Today, Donald Trump reaffirmed what he told me in December when he urged me to run on stage: that he supports me and has fully endorsed my Arizona First campaign,” Taylor Robson said on social media. “I cannot wait to be on the ninth floor as a partner to his America First agenda.”

Whoever wins the Republican primary election will likely have to face Democratic Gov. Katie Hobbs, the incumbent who beat Republican Kari Lake in the 2022 election.
