Details on The Mexicano Chandler location
Chef Joey Maggiore opened his first The Mexicano restaurant in Scottsdale in 2021, near Cactus Road and Tatum Boulevard.
Earlier this year, the Scottsdale location reopened after a kitchen fire forced the restaurant to close its doors. Maggiore also owns other well-known restaurants such as The Italiano, Hash Kitchen, The Sicilian Butcher and The Sicilian Baker.
The Mexicano is known for its build-your-own margarita bar, where diners can choose from 30 different toppings.
The menu includes traditional Mexican dishes such as birria bao buns, guacamole and a salsa Ferris wheel.
The new location will offer a daily happy hour, $2 taco Tuesdays and margarita Mondays featuring half-priced margaritas.
Maggiore’s wife, Cristina Maggiore, designed the new place to showcase Mexico City roots. The restaurant will feature a colorful fiesta ambience, authentic imported furniture and a custom DJ booth that will rotate Latin music.
“Our Chandler location will be the same fun, energetic, delicious Mexicano our guests know and love,” owner Joey Maggiore said in a press release. “We are thrilled to be bringing our second location, and the party, to the Easy Valley next month.”
