PHOENIX – West Valley shoppers will get a holiday treat when a new Fry’s Food Store opens on Halloween.

The full-service grocery store will be located in Surprise on the southwest corner of Cactus Road and Sarival Avenue, just east of Loop 303.

The new Fry’s Marketplace is part of a tenant lineup at the Sycamore Farms retail development, which includes a Home Depot that opened in April and a future EoS Fitness gym.

“Our friendly associates are excited to connect with our new neighbors in Surprise,” Monica Garnes, Fry’s Food Stores president, said in a press release.

The new grocery store will feature a Murray’s Cheese shop, a sushi station, a Starbucks coffee counter, a pharmacy with drive-thru service, an 18-pump fuel center and more.

“Customers can expect to find fresh, affordable groceries along with a welcoming atmosphere and dedicated associates who are ready to meet their everyday needs,” Garnes said.

New Fry’s in Surprise is part of West Valley expansion

The Oct. 31 opening in Surprise will come two months after another West Valley Fry’s Marketplace debuted at Broadway and Miller roads in Buckeye in late August.

Yet another new West Valley Fry’s will anchor the commercial section of Hermosa Ranch Technology Campus in Avondale.

Tolleson-based Fry’s Food Stores, a division of Kroger, operates about 130 supermarkets across Arizona and is one of the state’s largest employers.
