PHOENIX — La-Z-Boy Incorporated expanded its footprint in the West Valley by opening a new distribution center last week, officials announced.
The 225,000-square-foot facility is located in Glendale near Litchfield Road and Glendale Avenue and has approximately 30 employees.
“The investment and growth we’re experiencing in Glendale continues,” Glendale Mayor Jerry Weiers said in the announcement. “I remember how excited we were when La-Z-Boy opened their first facility here. Now, seeing them expand with a second location speaks volumes about the strength of our city and the continued growth and opportunity we’re creating together.”
The distribution center will serve as a logistics hub and streamline product storage, order fulfillment and delivery operations.
The facility is supposed to not only improve the company’s ability to meet customer demand, but also help La-Z-Boy have faster delivery times and maintain a higher standard for service and product care.
The center is part of a multi-year project that’s goal is to transform the company’s distribution network and home delivery program as well as boost operations and provide customers with a better overall experience.
