Man injured in early morning shooting in north Phoenix

A man is in stable condition after being seriously injured in a shooting in north Phoenix over the weekend, authorities said.

On Saturday, officers responded to multiple reports of a shooting near 19th and Peoria avenues around 2 a.m., according the Phoenix Police Department.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was then taken by the Phoenix Fire Department to a nearby hospital.

No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

Detectives are investigating the north Phoenix shooting.
