PHOENIX – A fan was injured in a fall at Chase Field after the Arizona Diamondbacks’ victory on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

Deputies working at the game were alerted to an injured man in the downtown Phoenix stadium’s rotunda area near the west entrance around 3:10 p.m., according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

Citing witness accounts, MCSO said he apparently jumped onto a second-floor railing “in an attempt to take a picture” and lost his balance. Authorities don’t suspect foul play.

The man, whose name and age were not released, was taken to a hospital for evaluation. MCSO didn’t provide details about his injuries.

The incident occurred as fans were filing out of Chase Field after the Diamondbacks’ 1-0 victory over the Detroit Tigers.
