Man arrested for DUI, reckless driving near Luke Air Force Base

PHOENIX — A man was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence and reckless driving near Luke Air Force Base on Saturday, authorities said.

According to the Glendale Police Department, the man was speeding near the Air Force base at Northern Avenue and Litchfield Road.

Glendale police said the man was wearing what appeared to be a ballistic vest, but authorities later determined it was not one.

The arrest comes as Luke Air Force Base is hosting its two-day Luke Days airshow on Saturday and Sunday.
