PHOENIX — Authorities canceled a SAFE Alert Saturday morning after a missing 86-year-old man from Yavapai County was located.

A SAFE Alert was issued on Friday for Henry Sheldon after he was last seen at 1:45 p.m. near Shadow Mountain Drive and Yavapai Hills Drive in Prescott.

Sheldon was located as of Saturday morning, according to a Arizona Department of Public Safety bulletin.

He was driving a 2016 black Ford Fusion with an Arizona license plate that reads CHN7326, the bulletin said.

Sheldon was described as a 5-foot-9 male with white hair and blue eyes, and was last seen wearing a blue jacket, blue jeans and a navy hat.

He suffers from a medical condition that may cause him to become lost or easily confused, police said.

SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts in Arizona as a way to spread the word about missing persons who are 65 and older and missing persons who have dementia or developmental/cognitive disabilities.
