Arizona players cash in with 3 big prizes in recent Powerball, Mega Millions drawings

Three lucky Arizona lottery players got a nice treat ahead of Halloween by winning five-figure prizes in recent drawings.

PHOENIX – Three lucky Arizona lottery players got a nice treat ahead of Halloween by winning five-figure prizes in recent drawings.

Two tickets for Friday’s Mega Millions drawing matched four white balls plus the gold Mega Ball to win $20,000. They were sold at the Gila Bend Food Mart at 623 W. Pima St. in Gila Bend and the Circle K at Ironwood and Ocotillo roads in San Tan Valley.

Friday’s winning Mega Millions numbers were 11, 18, 31, 51 and 56, with a Mega Ball of 24.

Arizona’s hot streak continued when a ticket for Saturday’s Powerball drawing from the Safeway at Deuce of Clubs and Eighth avenues in Show Low won $50,000 by matching four of the five white balls plus the red Powerball.

Saturday’s winning Powerball numbers were 2, 12, 22, 39 and 67, with a Powerball of 2.

Tickets for Mega Millions and Powerball, which are both multistate games of chance, are sold at over 3,000 official Arizona Lottery retailers.

Mega Millions drawings are conducted every Tuesday and Friday evening, with tickets costing $5 each. Powerball drawings are held Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, with entries running $2 a pop.

The cash-option jackpot for the next Powerball drawing on Monday is estimated at $358 million. Meanwhile, the top Mega Millions prize for the next drawing on Tuesday is estimated at $714 million.
