Hotel shooting in north Phoenix leaves 1 woman dead

PHOENIX — A woman has died following a shooting at a hotel in north Phoenix on Sunday, authorities said.

Police responded to a call near 10400 North Black Canyon Access Road, according to the Phoenix Police Department. Upon arrival, police found a woman with a gunshot wound.

Fire officials arrived on scene and confirmed the person had died on scene from their injuries.

Upon investigation, authorities said the woman died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. No other details were made available.
