Another bite into the Apple market: iCars to come

At the 2013 Worldwide Developer’s Conference Eddy Cue, Apple senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, announced that almost a dozen automakers will be able to install Apple iOS technology right into the dashboard of certain models by 2014.

According to USAToday.com about 95 percent of new vehicles are already compatible with iOS software but this new vehicle-specific technology will allow consumers to access music, navigation and other apps with the same Apple friendly settings.

Honda, Mercedes, Nissan, Ferrari, Chevrolet, Infiniti, Kia, Hyundai, Volvo, Acura, Jaguar and Opel are all said to be in on the newest Apple endeavor.
