PHOENIX — The annual Phoenix Children’s Give-A-Thon, presented by The Valley Hyundai Dealers will take place on KTAR News 92.3 FM and 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station Aug. 16-20.
In its 13th year, due to COVID-19, the event will air at various times throughout the week. On KTAR News 92.3 FM, it will air daily between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m. and between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station excluding Friday, when coverage will conclude at 1 p.m.
As the the largest radio hospital fundraiser in the country, the fundraiser last year broke a record with $1.9 million in donations over the week. Since 2009, it has raised more than $16.5 million.
More than 60 of the hospital’s programs are funded either entirely or in part through philanthropic efforts like the Give-A-Thon.

Anyone who becomes a Champion of Hope by pledging $20 per month will have a teddy bear delivered to a patient in their name on the TRANE Teddy Bear Express. They will also receive a choice of a Papa John’s voucher for two medium pizzas or a Cobblestone Auto Spa full-service car wash.
Donations will go toward cutting-edge research, clinical programs, state-of-the-art equipment and family-friendly services that help ensure that the hospital can provide world-class care to each and every child that needs it. 1 Darn Cool School
The 1 Darn Cool School helps patients stay connected with their education during their hospital stay.
Child Life Zone
The Child Life Zone is a therapeutic space where patients can have fun, with games, crafts, music, movies and other activities.
Braeden’s Playground is an outdoor space where patients and their families can have fun together.
Emily Center Family Health Library
The Emily Center Family Health Library provides reliable medical information for patients as well as the community, for no charge.
The hospital’s expanded emergency department, which opened a year ago, provides state-of-the-art care and service up to 100,000 patients annually.
