PHOENIX – The Chick-fil-A is heating things up by testing out new spicy menu options in three Arizona markets, including Phoenix.

The fast food chicken giant announced that patrons at participating restaurants in Phoenix, Yuma and Tucson have been able to try the Grilled Spicy Chicken Deluxe Sandwich and Spicy Chick-n-Strips Biscuit since Monday.

On top of that, customers using Chick-fil-A catering in those areas can now choose the Grilled Spicy Deluxe Bundle.

The new items are in addition to the Spicy Chick-n-Strips the family-owned, Atlanta-based chain started testing in Arizona in August 2018.

“We’re excited to spice up the menu and see what happens in these test markets,” Matt Reed of Chick-fil-A’s menu development team said in a press release.

What exactly are the new choices?

  • The Grilled Spicy Chicken Deluxe Sandwich features spicy grilled chicken topped with Colby-Jack cheese, lettuce and tomato on a multigrain brioche bun. It is served with a new cilantro-lime sauce and starts at $4.95.
  • The Spicy Chick-n-Strips Biscuit, which starts at $3.09, joined the breakfast menu with two strips on a baked buttermilk biscuit.
  • The catering bundle provides fixings for 10 people to build their own spicy grilled sandwiches.

Customers in the test markets will help Chick-fil-A decide whether to make the items available at all of its 2,000-plus restaurants.

We want to hear from you.
