PHOENIX — After months of construction, Gilbert’s first authentic speakeasy is opening its doors.

But it might take a keen eye to find it.

Located at 207 N. Gilbert Road in Gilbert, The White Rabbit speakeasy — owned by Nick Medina and Corey Potts — is one of the newest installations of the downtown atmosphere.

“We are thrilled to bring a speakeasy to Phoenix’s east valley,” Medina said in a press release. “Gilbert is the perfect place for this concept because while it has many great dining destinations, we are bringing the first authentic high-end bar concept to the area.

“When guests enter, they will feel like they are stepping into a true speakeasy experience.”

Like most speakeasys, there’s even a password and a secret door (hint: look for the red light) to get in. Luckily, the password can be found on the bar’s website.

“With everything going on down there with the growth and the great restaurants, we just figured that this would be an added-value venue to what’s currently going on,” Potts said while the bar was still under construction.

We want to hear from you.
