PHOENIX — Just one Arizona restaurant made OpenTable’s annual list of the best eateries in the nation that was released this week.
The only Arizona spot on the list was Cafe Monarch, located near Goldwater Boulevard and Indian School Road in Scottsdale.
The family-owned eatery prides itself on offering locally sourced organic dishes that are served in a romantic environment, according to its website.
You have to make a reservation to eat there.
Cafe Monarch has won a slew of awards in recent years and has appeared on OpenTable’s top 100 list annually since 2014.
The popular reservation website used more than 12 million reviews of 26,000 restaurants to compile its best-of list.
“The 100 Best Restaurants in America for 2017 are consistently putting out delicious dishes, providing impeccable service, and paying attention to every detail to orchestrate one-of-a-kind dining experiences time and again,” the website said.
Restaurants in just 23 states and Washington, D.C. made the list.
California and New York tied for the most places — 19 — to be featured.
