The Avondale Police Department identified the victim as 35-year-old Jorge Aguilar on Sunday afternoon and determined his cause of death was a drowning.
Officers were called to the area of 107th Avenue and Indian School Road around 1:30 p.m. Saturday after a caller found what they said was a dead person in a lake, police said.
When medical personnel arrived at the scene, they found Aguilar, who appeared to be in his 30s, and confirmed he was dead.
