Phoenix Police Chief Matt Giordano shares initial reaction to two officers accused of a violent traffic stop
"The initial reaction was shock. You don't want to believe it," Phoenix Police Chief Matt Giordano says while describing how he felt upon learning that two officers were accused of a violent traffic stop so violent that investigators originally thought it was a carjacking by two suspects posing as law enforcement.
"No one wanted to believe that it was on-duty Phoenix Police officers, but when the evidence became overwhelming that it was, we had to take action, and I had to put my emotions to the side and become professional and work through an investigation to get together all of the information to ensure justice for those victims."
