PHOENIX — Police are asking for the public’s help to find a man who allegedly shot two people at a Phoenix-area Walmart earlier this month.

The Glendale Police Department said it is looking for 21-year-old Almalik Ward in connection with the Dec. 7 shooting at the Walmart near Camelback Road and the Loop 101.

“The early indications, from what we can tell, was that the suspect and victims were known to each other,” Glendale Police Department Sgt. Scott Waite told media on the day of the shooting.

Police said Ward met the victims in the parking lot and followed them into the store, where a confrontation happened. Ward allegedly pulled a gun and shot the two men.

One of the victims returned fire. A woman with the victims was seen picking up the shell casings.

After the shooting, Ward and a juvenile drove away from the scene.

Both men who were shot were hospitalized and have since been released.

Ward is a black male who stands 5-foot-9 and weights 150 pounds. He has black hair and hazel eyes.

Police said Ward should be considered armed and dangerous and no one should try to approach him.

Anyone with knowledge of Ward’s whereabouts or information on the shooting is asked to call the Glendale Police Department at 623-930-3000.
