Forbes releases 2015 list of world’s highest-paid actresses

Here’s your obvious statement for the day: Being a world-famous actress pays well.

Pretty darn well, actually.

Business magazine Forbes released its annual list of the world’s highest-paid actresses on Wednesday.

At just 25, “Hunger Games” star Jennifer Lawrence topped the list. She brought in $52 million (pre-tax, like that matters) in just a 12-month span. She made $16.5 million more than any other actress. Maybe we should be following her “Silver Linings Playbook” from now on.

Last year’s winner, Sandra Bullock, brought in a $8 million after a quiet year. Now that’s our kind of quiet.

Of the 18 actresses on the list, just one was not American. Bingbing Fan, who came in fourth, brought in about $21 million. You would have seen her on the silver screen as Blink in “X-Men: Days of Future Past” that starred the list-topping Lawrence.

It’s worth noting that Arizona-native Emma Stone made the list. Coming in at 16th, she made $6.5 million last year.

In total, the women on the list brought in $281 million before taxes and fees. That’s a tidy sum, to be sure, but it’s sadly $660 million less than the 34 world’s highest-paid actors.
