PHOENIX — “Do you believe we are alone in the universe?”
The “UFO Experience: The Truth is Out There” — which opens at the Arizona Boardwalk in Scottsdale on Tuesday — begs the question those who enter the UFO and extraterrestrial life exhibit.
The family-friendly museum dives into the history and societal fascination with life from other worlds, including tales of abductions, stories of human-alien contact and accounts of phenomena like the renowned Phoenix Lights of 1997. The display will feature over 200 artifacts from UFOlogists and collectors across seven galleries, organizers said.
“The UFO Experience: The Truth is Out There is the only UFO attraction in the country,” Managing Partner for Arizona Boardwalk Ran Knishinsky said in a press release.
“This is an entertaining, educational, and interactive exhibition that focuses on aliens, UFOs, abduction phenomena, and even alien influence on human civilization. We are so excited to share it with everyone: skeptic or believer! It will certainly make you wonder if we exist alone!”
Galleries include interactive maps, props, videos and recordings and on topics such as galactic travel and ancient alien encounters.
Movie buffs may be drawn to the Pop Culture Gallery dedicated to movies like ET and Alien! An added layer of UFO lore included in the gallery is a list of stars who have admitted to a UFO or alien encounter.
Tickets are available online through the end of the year. Admission for adults cost $19.95, and there are discounted prices for military ($17.95) and children ages 2-13 ($15.95). Children under two years old get in free.
The eighth attraction at the boardwalk takes over the spot previously occupied by “The Science of Ripley’s Believe It or Not!,” which closed Sept. 25. Other present attractions include OdySea Aquarium, Butterfly Wonderland and Pangaea Land of the Dinosaurs.
