PHOENIX — A new statewide behavioral crisis and human services phoneline began operating in Arizona in October.
Solari Crisis and Human Services, a Tempe-based nonprofit, replaced separate numbers for the northern, central and southern regions of the state with one line: 844-534-HOPE (4673), according to a press release.
Text assistance is also available by texting “hope” to to 4HOPE (4673).
Trained specialists will be available 24/7 at the new line and the three previous numbers.
Solari has been one of two agencies answering 988 calls in Arizona, which is the number for the national Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, since July.
“It has been a longtime goal of our company to provide crisis line services to our entire home state of Arizona and we are immensely proud to have achieved that aim this year,” Solari President and CEO Justin Chase said in the release.
“We are also honored to serve as the primary 988 vendor in Arizona and as a national backup center for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. No matter how callers reach our call center, they will receive immediate, free, and confidential support.”
