PHOENIX – Your wildest dreams are coming true, Arizona Swifties. Twice.

After previously announcing that she’d kick off next year’s The Eras Tour at Glendale’s State Farm Stadium, superstar singer-songwriter Taylor Swift added a second Valley date to the start of the run.

Fans will now get chances to see their hero on March 17 and 18, with special guests Paramore and Gayle.

March 18 was the kickoff show in the original announcement. Every stop on the U.S. stadium tour leg now has multiple dates.

The general public sale scheduled to begin Friday morning (Nov. 18) was canceled because the ticket inventory for the entire tour was depleted during the verified fan presale earlier in the week.

Ticketmaster called the demand “historically unprecedented,” with millions of people trying to secure seats.

“I can’t WAIT to see your gorgeous faces out there. It’s been a long time coming,” Swift said on Instagram, describing the tour as “a journey through the musical eras of my career (past and present!).”

Swift hasn’t performed in Arizona since she stopped in Glendale during 2018’s “Reputation Stadium Tour,” her last major road venture.

Word of the new tour first came a day after Swift became the first artist in history to claim the top 10 slots of the Billboard Hot 100 chart with tracks from her new record “Midnights.”
