Next year’s Innings Festival will feature two full days of music on three stages along with the usual appearances by major league stars. The 2023 roster includes Arizona Diamondbacks legends Randy Johnson and Matt Williams.
Green Day hasn’t visited Arizona since 2017, when the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame pop-punkers played at what is now Footprint Arena in downtown Phoenix.
Vedder, the Pearl Jam front man whose most recent solo album came out earlier this year, is returning to Tempe Beach Park after headlining the event in 2019.
Innings Festival launched in 2018 to coincide with spring training in Arizona and became a highly anticipated annual venture.
After a year off in 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the event returned in February of this year with Foo Fighters and Tame Impala as headliners.
