PHOENIX — Chicago-based Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria is expanding in the Valley with its eighth location set to open at Tempe Marketplace in late fall.
The 4,900-square-foot shop, located on McClintock Drive and Rio Salado Parkway, will be a full service restaurant with a dining room, bar and outdoor patio, according to a press release.
Customers will be able to order through dine-in, carryout, curbside pick-up, no contact delivery and drop off catering services.
The pizzeria offers deep dish and thin crust pizza, along with salads, pasta and desserts.
Ahead of the opening, the restaurant plans to hire about 110 employees for various positions, including bartenders, delivery drivers, servers and kitchen staff.
While interviews can be done through the phone or Zoom, there will also be two hiring events.
Interviews will take place at a site located at 1900 E. Rio Salado Parkway on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 30 from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Anyone interested can apply online before arriving to the hiring event and walk-ins will be accepted.
“Since our first location opened in Arizona, we’ve been welcomed with open arms and appreciate our amazing fans,” Owner Marc Malnati said in the release.
He added, “We’re thrilled to bring our legendary deep dish pizza to Tempe Marketplace and become immersed in the vibrant and thriving community.”
The latest addition is adjacent to Barrio Queen and The Keg Steakhouse.
Lou Malnati’s first came to the Valley in 2016 with a restaurant in Phoenix. Since then, locations have been added in the Phoenix neighborhood of Arcadia, Chandler, Mesa, Gilbert, Glendale and Scottsdale.
The ninth Valley location is slated to open in Surprise at the Village at Prasada in late 2023.
