Silver Alert canceled after 53-year-old man last seen in Phoenix found safe

PHOENIX — A Silver Alert for a missing Phoenix man was canceled Wednesday after the subject was found safe, authorities said.

William Christopher, 53, had last been seen Sunday leaving his long-term care facility near 18th Street and Thomas Road on foot.

The Silver Alert was issued Monday. The Phoenix Police Department said Wednesday he was back home.

Christopher suffers from a medical condition that may cause him to appear confused or disoriented.
