Two Valley cities ranked among top 10 best real estate markets

PHOENIX — Two Valley cities were recently ranked among the top 10 places to buy a house in the nation, according to a personal finance website.

Gilbert came in at No. 7 and Peoria No. 9 in WalletHub’s comparison of the best real estate markets in that nation.

WalletHub used the real estate market, affordability and economic environment as some of the metrics to create the list.

Gilbert ranked 10th in affordability and economic environment and 11th in real-estate market. Peoria landed 18th in the former category, while coming in at 12th in the latter.

The city of Gilbert had some of fewest median days on the market, coming in at 4th place.

Surprise came in at No. 18 overall best place to buy a home, while Chandler came in at No. 22.

Frisco, Texas was WalletHub’s top city to purchase a house because of its housing market, affordability and economic environment.

More than half of the top 10 cities were in Texas.

Peoria, Illinois is the 300th ranked city on the bottom of the list.
