Phoenix police investigate double homicide at 48th Street and Broadway Road

PHOENIX – Two men were shot to death in a Phoenix apartment Thursday morning, authorities said.

Officers making a welfare check just before 2 a.m. found the bodies in an apartment near 48th Street and Broadway Road, the Phoenix Police Department said.

Detectives were gathering information about what led up to the double homicide and speaking with witnesses, police said.

One of the victims was identified Friday as 47-year-old Gerald Williams. The other victim is a man in his 40s, police said.
