PHOENIX — People likely won’t have to worry about the monsoon season putting a damper on Independence Day celebrations this weekend in the Valley, but temperatures will continue to be in the triple digits.

A high temperature of 105 degrees is forecast for Saturday, followed by 106 degrees on Sunday and 103 degrees on Monday on the Fourth of July, according to the National Weather Service.

Independence Day celebrations started Friday night and run through Monday, and the closest patriotic event to you can be found on KTAR News’ Fourth of July map.

People should be able to see the fireworks with no problems as mostly clear skies are forecast for each night, with winds hovering around 5-10 mph.

Those heading up north for the holiday will be greeted by cooler weather, with high temperatures in Flagstaff forecast to be 80 degrees each day with mostly clear skies, according to the National Weather Service.

The monsoon is expected to make an appearance in Tucson over the holiday weekend, as there is a chance for rain on Sunday and Monday. High temperatures are forecast to hover in the high 90s.
