2 people found dead after apparent murder-suicide in Phoenix

Two people were found dead after an apparent murder-suicide in Phoenix on Saturday, authorities said.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to a report of a suicide at a home near 35th Avenue and Deer Valley Road around 4:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found a 74-year-old man and an 81-year-old woman dead from gunshot wounds.

Detectives took over the scene to open an investigation. Authorities said they don’t believe there are any outstanding suspects at this time.
